Panns Bank, Sunderland
An impression of the Victorian-era docks at Panns Bank, Sunderland as they may have looked around the 1800's. I was commissioned to make this for one of a series of interpretation panels providing information about Sunderland's historic past and some of its notorious characters.
Although not historically accurate, some elements such as the two bridges are closely based on surviving photographs from the period
These illustrations were produced for a new set of interpretation panels exploring Sunderland's historic past.
